With over 30 years of experience in health care, Alice has held numerous
leadership positions in clinical and academic settings. She has extensive
teaching and curriculum development experience.
With a passion for nursing education, team building, ongoing professional development, and coaching leaders for impact; Alice leverages the strengths of individuals, teams, and organizations to implement and sustain best-practice innovation. Alice is able to identify opportunities to develop and implement new processes to prepare for change and transition. Her experience includes leading change and transition during the redesign/improvement of nurse education functions across large organizations, oversight of an award-winning nurse orientation program, and engagement of multiple stakeholders.
Alice is a transformational leader with strategic vision, ability to influence, knowledge of clinical and academic practice, and strong experience related to professional nursing education and practice. Alice earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from University of Illinois-Chicago and Master and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing from Northern Illinois University. Alice has been a registered nurse for over 30 years. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center both in Nursing Professional Development and Nurse Executive-Advanced. In addition, Alice is certified in Leading Organizational Transition through Linkage/Williams Bridges Associates and a Certified Spiritual Director. Alice is an author, speaker, and retreat facilitator. Beginning in January 2017, Alice will serve as a Visiting Professor in the DNP program at Chamberlain College of Nursing Practicum Courses 702,705,707,709.
